This week in Rebecca Black news, the 13-year-old’s debut single “Friday” went viral, landed Top 50 on the iTunes charts followed by her first TV appearance on Good Morning America and then her attempt to duet with Justin Bieber. So with all the hype surrounding Rebecca and “Friday” YouTube buffs had a blast impersonating the singer with numerous covers. Then came the release of what many thought to be Rebecca’s second song “Prom Night.”

But, Rebecca squashed the rumors on Twitter saying the ditty was not her reprisal from “Friday.”

Rather, it was another impostor trying to get in on the Rebecca Black action.

Rebecca did give her stamp of approval to this parody of her hit Friday, Tweeting, “Hah. Love this parody.”

She is working on a second single, but the only details she released, “We’re currently writing another song…it does not have to do with weekdays, or months, or numbers or colors. Throwin’ that out there.”

Eminem beats Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber to 30 million Facebook followers

But rapper is losing out in the Twitter stakes, still

Eminem has beaten Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber to become the first musician to secure 30 million followers on Facebook.com.

The Detroit rapper’s Facebook page, facebook.com/eminem, is the most popular artist profile on the social networking site.

Lady Gaga is not far behind, with her followers currently numbering 30 million at facebook.com/ladygaga. Justin Bieber has just over 23 million followers at facebook.com/justinbieber.

Eminem’s achievement is made all the more remarkable as, according to AOL Music, one year ago he had only 2.7 million followers.

This figure was less than artists including Rihanna, Bieber and Shakira boasted at the time.

Lady Gaga does have a much bigger Twitter presence than Eminem, though. 8.7 million people follow her at twiter.com/ladygaga.

Eminem has 3.4 million followers of his page, Twitter.com/eminem.

Records, nail polish, movie tickets, hair: it’s official, Justin Bieber can sell anything. A lock of his freshly-chopped tresses, which he’d gifted to Ellen DeGeneres in a signed box the day after his much-buzzed-about cut, was put to auction on eBay last week, and today, sold for a whopping $40,668. The entire sum will be donated to animal rescue organization The Gentle Barn Foundation, per DeGeneres, and the winning bidder will get to meet the teen superstar the next time he appears on The Ellen Show. Bieber and DeGeneres shared a few silly Tweets leading up to his talk show appearance last week, with the host asking the singer to bring her a “surprise” when he visited. After receiving Bieber’s hair, DeGeneres immediately put it on eBay, and within an hour the bid was already up to $10,000. No word on who Wednesday’s winning bidder was just yet, but no doubt that today there’s one less lonely girl out there. –Kate Hogan

Bruno Mars dodges jail with guilty plea on felony drug case

Grammy winner Bruno Mars has pleaded guilty to his felony cocaine possession case in a Las Vegas courtroom Wednesday. The 25-year-old “Just the Way You Are” singer dodged jail in exchange for 200 hours of community service and a year of probation.

Mars – real name Peter Gene Hernandez – was arrested in the Sin City in September after he was seen with a 2.6-gram bag of cocaine.

His legal team managed to work out a plea deal, though. Instead of jail, he was ordered to be placed on probation for a year, undergo drug counseling, and complete 200 hours of community service, as well as pay a $2,000 fine.

Because he is a first-time offender, the felony charge will be wiped clean from his record if he stays out of trouble for the next twelve months. If he misbehaves, he could face prison time.

Mars has just won Best Male Pop Vocal Performance for his single “Just the Way You Are” at the Grammys on Sunday.

Stacey Branning – does she die?!

It looks like Stacey Branning is about to kiss goodbye to Eastenders in a death plunge from the roof of The Queen Vic from this snap doesn’t it? But does she jump? Does she fall? Is she pushed? Is she persuaded to back away from the edge? Soooo… many questions!

*Dermot O’Leary voice* 8pm tomorrow night people. 8pm. And all will be revealed.

It’s a humdinger of an Eastenders Christmas Special, that’s for sure though, with Stacey Branning (played by Lacey Turner) being backed into a corner – or rooftop, rather – by a vengeful Janine Malloy (played by Charlie Brooks), out for blood after her husband Ryan runs off to be with Stacey. Janine threatening to reveal that Stacey Branning killed Archie Mitchell last Christmas!

It’s the same rooftop, of course, that Stacey’s own husband, Bradley, fell to his death from back in February, during the live episode, when we first found out that Stacey was Archie Mitchell’s killer. And now here we are again above Albert Square, with single mum Stacey teetering on the edge. But does she die?

Well, as you already know, 22-year-old Lacey Turner does leave Eastenders tomorrow night, but whether it’s in handcuffs or a coffin… you’re just going to have to watch the Eastenders Christmas Day Special to find out. Seriously, we couldn’t ruin a Christmas surprise like that for you now, could we?
